A trauma-informed approach is woven through each discipline. The use of somatic training, depth psychology, parts work, Polyvagal theory, and Buddhist teachings are present in each session. I combine these modalities to support clients by providing tools, techniques, education, and a safe space for self-inquiry and exploration.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Contemplative Psychotherapy:  EMBodiment, Compassion, anD mindfulness.

About Me

My path into psychotherapy began in 2014, during a time when I was moving through depression, grief and loss, trauma, and ongoing health challenges. What began as a difficult season gradually became an invitation to turn inward with curiosity, and ultimately led into this work. Through both my formal training and process, I came to deeply value the role of therapy in creating space. My experience as a client was especially meaningful and continues to shape how I meet others today - with presence and compassion. As both a therapist and someone who feels more at home in movement and nature, I bring a grounded, embodied approach and draw on practices that help clients reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels accessible and personal. I hold a degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy, rooted in present-moment awareness and somatic supportive space.

I'm Jessica Baker,

I encourage potential clients to set up a free, online, 15-minute consultation to see if you and I are a good fit.

Choosing a good therapist fit can be a challenging process. I hope to make it easier.

Working with Me

My style is gentle and supportive while also being direct and challenging. I provide a grounded, consistent presence that helps clients navigate within their experience. My encouragement of clients in recognizing and cultivating an observer’s mind throughout our work together helps to bring gentleness toward discomfort while maintaining a wider lens benefitting you both cognitively and physiologically. The therapeutic dynamic is the single most useful modality utilized in our sessions. I believe in the heart's enduring capacity for renewal and the innate creativity and resilience within each of us, regardless of circumstances.
